My approach

I am warm, person-centred and compassionate in my approach to therapy. My aim is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where one can feel supported while navigating the changes or challenges theyre facing, deepening their understanding of themselves and their experience, and creating meaningful change.

Areas of interest

I have a particular interest in providing therapy for the following:

  • anxiety, worries and fears (e.g. generalised anxiety, social anxiety, separation anxiety, phobias)

  • low mood, depression

  • functional somatic symptoms and functional neurological disorder

  • neurodevelopmental differences (ASD, ADHD)

  • adjusting to change and life transitions

  • loss and grief

  • difficulties with emotion regulation

  • responding to challenging behaviours

Therapeutic interventions

Therapy sessions are tailored to the individual.

Therapy with children and adolescents takes a family-focused approach: sessions may involve the child individually, the child together with a parent(s), or parent(s) only. I will provide recommendations regarding who is invited to attend.

I draw on a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), attachment-informed approaches, mindfulness-based approaches and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Skills. I work within a Circle of Security Model and am trained in other parent-based interventions including Tuning into Teens and the SPACE treatment protocol - a parent-based treatment program for children and adolescents with anxiety and OCD. I am a Level 1 trained IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapist. I also provide Trauma-Focused CBT.
